It started with a wrong number.

That ended up being fate.

I was working a job I didn't want. Luckily, it was temporary. But when it ended, I had no clue what I was going to do. My hometown was devastated by wildfires and floods, initially leaving me unemployed. I quickly found employment, but it was only a temporary position to help my community recover.

The work phone that the job gave me had a phone number that had once been a travel advisor's. I was receiving desperate calls weekly from this advisor's clients: "I need to get away. Life is just too much. But I have no idea how to plan a trip to..." you name the destination, they were asking for it. My response was always the same, *sigh* "I'm so sorry, but I'm afraid you have the wrong number."

Yet each call got me to thinking: I wish I could help them. Many of these destinations I had been to, or planned trips to for myself, my friends, my family. It's what I loved to do - practically a hobby. But I had no idea where to start.

Yet three years before, I had followed an Instagram page called @globalmunchkins after my cousin shared a Walt Disney World giveaway the page was doing. The page's owner Amber was constantly sharing family togetherness videos, especially her family's love for travel. Then one day, she shared that her husband had started a company called Best Day Ever Vacations - and they were hiring.

This company was inspiring stay-at-home moms to run their own business while also inspiring families to travel together. I had finally found something that gave me the freedom to run my own business with the launchpad to do so. And that's how Hall Inclusive Destinations was born.

Fate will take you anywhere, but you have to have the launchpad to do so.
